Lake Arcadia
Arcadia Lake is a reservoir located in Central Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States. Situated northeast of Oklahoma City in eastern Edmond, it lies just east of Interstate 35.
Covering an area of 1,820 acres (7 km²), the lake boasts approximately 26 miles (42 km) of shoreline.
The lake's inception dates back to 1984 when an earthen dam was constructed on the Deep Fork River, a project initiated in 1980 (44 years ago). A joint effort between the City of Edmond and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers brought this lake into existence. Its purpose was threefold: flood control in the Deep Fork River Basin, water supply for Edmond, and the provision of recreational amenities for nearby communities.
Arcadia Lake offers various recreational activities, including fishing, boating, camping, mountain biking, hiking, disc golf, and equestrian trails. Designated areas allow for waterskiing and Jet Skiing. Since horse rentals are unavailable, visitors must bring their own mounts. Amenities comprise picnic areas, a Frisbee golf course, pavilions, boat ramps, designated swimming beaches, and a handicapped-accessible, enclosed, and heated fishing dock. Additionally, RV campsites with full hookups and primitive tent campsites are available. Surrounding parks include Scissortail Park, Spring Creek Park, Central State Park, and Edmond Park.

Army Corps of Engineers brachte diesen See hervor.
