Greetings fromMotorworld

Motorworld München · Bavaria, Germany · October 2025

A hotel inside an old locomotive hall, a late-night Brotzeit after the game, and a morning full of Bugattis.

After Bayern beat Dortmund on October 18, 2025, Philipp and I didn't have far to go. We spent the night at the AMERON München Motorworld, a hotel built right into the Motorworld München in Freimann, just a few U-Bahn stops from the Allianz Arena. The next morning, October 19, we walked downstairs and explored one of the coolest car collections we've ever seen.

Our stay, step by step

  1. Night Check in at the AMERON after the game
  2. Eat A Brotzeit picnic in our room
  3. Morning Explore the Motorworld hall
  4. See Bugattis, race cars and classics
after the game

A late-night Brotzeit

It was late when we got in, so we kept dinner simple and very German: a Brotzeit in our room. Dark bread from the bakery, salami, Emmentaler and Tilsiter cheese, cherry tomatoes, a pitaya for something fresh, and a cold bottle of Holzverwandler Seidla beer. Honestly, after a day like that, it was perfect.

Inside the Motorworld

The Motorworld sits in a huge old Deutsche Bahn locomotive repair hall, more than 100 years old: 185 meters long, 90 meters wide and up to 18 meters high, with its original steel trusses, yellow crane rails and peeling green paint left in place. Today it's filled with more than 30 car and motorcycle brands, shops, restaurants and glass towers stacked with cars over four levels. And walking around is free.

Even the restrooms are themed: the sinks are set into car tires, the mirrors are framed with motorcycle tires, and the faucets look like fuel nozzles.

Bugattis, hypercars and Ford GTs

Then came the cars that made Philipp's jaw drop. Two Bugattis parked right out in the open: a matte-black Bolide, the track-only hypercar, and a white-and-blue Veyron. Close by were two Ford GTs, one white with glowing ring taillights and one in black.

Race cars

Race fans get plenty too. We found the BMW M4 GT3 #46 in Valentino Rossi's colors, a Liqui Moly BMW 3 Series touring car from Team Engstler, and a grey Mercedes-AMG GT3 with red stripes, all parked close enough to see every sticker and rivet.

Old beauties

My favorites might have been the classics: a green 1926 Ford Model T Tudor Sedan with its crank still on the front, and a pale blue Jaguar E-Type with chrome wire wheels. Some people say the E-Type is the most beautiful car ever made. Standing next to it, it's hard to argue.

Car guys! And anyone going to a game at the Allianz Arena

Our verdict: 5 out of 5, at a medium price. If you're a car guy, I would definitely recommend it. Where else do you wake up and walk straight into a hall full of Bugattis, race cars and classics?

Tip: if you're going to a game at the Allianz Arena, stay at the Motorworld. It's close to the stadium on the U6, and you get the car hall right outside your door the next morning.
